We’ve made it easier for subbies to control their profile contacts and help builders connect with the right people for every tender invitation.
🔧 What’s New?
  • Subbies can now hide contacts that aren’t essential for tendering or procurement (e.g., admin or accounts staff)
  • Hidden contacts won’t appear in contractor Address Books, reducing clutter and making it easier to find the right person
  • Set primary contacts so invitations go to the right team members every time
💡
What This Means for You
For Subcontractors
  • Fewer misdirected invites:
Ensure contractors connect with the right team members, improving response times
  • A cleaner, more direct profile:
Make it easy for contractors to find key details fast while keeping your contact list professional and relevant
For Contractors
As part of our continuous uplift of the E1 Network, we’re focused on making it easier to find and connect with the right contacts when issuing RFQs, removing the guesswork and ensuring enquiries reach the right people. You’ll start to notice the following changes as subbies update primary contacts across their accounts, helping you manage a smarter, more connected Address Book.
  • Less Address Book clutter:
Only see key and relevant contacts when connecting with new subbies
  • Faster, more effective invites:
Get your tenders in front of the right people every time
  • Improved response times:
Fewer misdirected enquiries mean quicker replies from the right decision-makers
This update helps everyone save time, reduce confusion, and connect faster - because finding the right contact should be simple and stress-free.

We’re excited to announce a major improvement to our Connection Suggestions feature, designed to enhance the number of suggestions you'll see when using the feature.
Connecting companies from the E1 Network with those already in your Address Book ensures you always have the most up-to-date information and contacts.
What’s new?
Previously, the Connection Suggestions page may only have returned a few suggestions when searching for potential matches among the top 100 companies in your Address Book, without surfacing less active matches.
With this update, the feature will now actively search for up to 100 matches every time you access Connection Suggestions.
You’ll now consistently see more connection suggestions if they’re available.
If there are 100 potential matches, you’ll see all 100, no more bottlenecks!
This change ensures a smoother, more efficient experience, helping you build connections faster and more effectively.
Try it out and enjoy the improved results!

Our new project visibility options give your company the ability to gain additional trade coverage from the E1 Network of subcontractors and suppliers.
You can now publish a project as a ‘Private Contractor’, which allows you to remain anonymous to the Network before you approve a subcontractor or supplier's request and release documentation to them.
The E1 Network includes over 12,000 profiled companies across the UK and Ireland looking to price work and engage with new contractors.
Visibility options explained:
E1 Network: Publish as [builder name]
This option will publish your project to the E1 Network with your company name visible to all subcontractors and suppliers.
E1 Network: Publish as Private Contractor
Your company name is hidden until document requests are approved for the requesting subcontractor or supplier.
This option makes your project available to the E1 Network, with your company name set as ‘Private Contractor’, allowing subcontractors and suppliers to request packages from you. They will see your business details only when approved.
Private: Invite Only
Your project is not discoverable by the E1 Network as it isn't published on the tender noticeboard. Subcontractors and suppliers only gain access to the project details when you send them an enquiry.

You can change a project from Private to available to the E1 Network at any time via your Project Details.
